Hi.
When thunder is out and about, he tends to lunge at people and other dogs. Has anyone got any advice about how to deal with this. I know that neos are very protective and it really isnt a problem but any hep would be great. Anthonys & Thunder

Hi are you talking about our Thunder from Bark??? As i have been talking to Len and he told me about some of the things he is doing You need to get him under control use a half check collar this will give you more control always take a pocket full of titbits with i mean smelly food cooked liver is a good one and let him smell one and use this to start training him make him sit give titbit down titbit and so on you can also use a head collar DOGMATIC is the best or a foal head collar fits big dogs, use your voice titbits and collar.

I think i'm going to get my head bitten off for this reply but here goes......
Whilst training taz and shadow i found a small tug on their lead of a firm no did the job.
Taz is great on the lead on won't go near anyone unless i say its ok..... Shadow is doing fine but then again he had a rough start i'm being gentle wih him...he's learnt not to pull on his lead and not to approach people unless i give him the go head.
As for approaching other dogs hes not quite so good but then hes only a puppy and wants to play.
I find with shadow that the strips of beef jerky work they smell good but don't leave a nasty smell in your pocket like cooked liver.
Take care

Hi, Yeah I am talking about Thunder from BARK!
I have tried putting stuff in my pocket but he pays no attention. What we try to do is get him to sit down and watch people pass by. He does sit down and watch but then when we tell him to come with us, he just goes after him. We cant let him of the lead as we are not sure what his reaction would be. He has a half choke collor that we got for him, but he also has a neo collor too. I am not too sure about this problem. I dont mind leaving him on the lead and avoiding people, but I dont think its fair on my boy. Anyway, thanks for the advice and for taking the time to read this! Anyone else got any advice? Thanks Anthony & thunder
